The forests are under threat from coal mining.
- Coal mining in the Chandrapur region of Maharashtra is destroying a tiger habitat
- In Singrauli it has displaced people
- It has also caused environmental damage
- To symbolise this struggle for the safety of our forests, we are asking people to become citizens of a new country called Junglistan - the country of the forests - and pledge to protect it from mining and show the government that we want our forests to remain intact
- Once you become a citizen of Junglistan, you will get an official Junglistan passport
You should sign up for citizenship of Junglistan because the forests are too valuable to be destroyed by mining.
